We are a podcast for musicians to come and share their own personal story and experiences, on and off stage.

Every episode is a conversation, recorded ahead of time, between one musician and a microphone with nobody watching. There is no audience to perform for and no set list to get through. We ask about the part of a musical life that never makes it to the stage: how it started, who helped along the way, what nearly made them quit, and what an ordinary Tuesday looks like for an artist in the Maldives.

Because the episodes are pre-recorded, nobody has to be quick, polished or perfect. A guest can stop, think, start a story again, and tell it the way it happened. What you hear is a musician talking, not a musician performing.

Our goal is to open up new opportunities and to give a platform to upcoming musicians who want to be part of something greater than being an underground artist. There is a lot of talent in the Maldives that very few people ever hear. Offstage is a way to be heard, to be introduced to new listeners, and to meet the other people making music around you.

It is also a way to hear stories that have never been told. Great musicians have lives that the stage doesn't show: the routines, the doubts, the family dinners before a gig, the day jobs, the instruments they could not afford at first. We want those unheard stories about offstage, everyday life to exist somewhere people can listen to them.

Any musician in the Maldives who has a story to tell: singers, instrumentalists, songwriters, producers, solo artists and bands, in any style. You do not need a label, a following or a finished album. If you are just starting out and you want to be part of something bigger, this is for you.
